A quiet night in

A perfect way to spend a Scottish winter's night. No, not in a pub, or a restaurant, or with a good book. But, in front of the telly!

Diddly Dee, Potatoes

Dublin in three days. Cheap flights, expensive city! There is plenty to do in Dublin, however you could find yourself stuck, happily stuck that is, in one of the Irish capital's many pubs. Unbeknown to us, we arrived in the middle of the Temple Bar Trad Fest, a 5 day celebration of traditional music and culture in the heart of Dublin.
Street performers in Temple Bar
Dame Street from our hotel
Guinness Storehouse
Dublin from the Guinness Storehouse
The River Liffey
Ha'penny Bridge
A street performer, and bemused pedestrian
Traditional entertainment
Older than Stonehenge, and the Great Pyramid of Giza, Newgrange is over 5,000 years old.  A fascinating site, largely unknown to most visitors.
The Man O'War  pub, where Paddy the barman will let you pull your own pint. Good food, and better value than the city
Jameson Distillery, great value and better than the Guinness tour.
Burdocks, and Irish institution. Best fish and chips we have had!
Samuel Beckett bridge, and Dublin Convention centre
