It would be very naive to sum up a country based on its capital; so we wont. However, Kuala Lumpur is a city of contrasts. Arriving at the airport is efficient and immaculate, but your would expect that at 5.30am! Taxis are new, clean, air-conditioned and 'on the metre', but as if you know where your going anyway. Having said that we have no reason to believe we went the 'long way' at any point.
KL offers everything from top-end designer shopping in air-conditoned comfort, to traditional street vendor meals that will free you from your pocket change or 'small money'.
